I met Mr Dan Brown at his clinic on 27 February 2023 to discus my Left Sided L5 Radicular Pain Syndrome. I found him to be a breath of fresh air in comparison with other doctors. He spent sometime in discussing my symptoms, in detail, using my recent MRI scan , in a language I could understand and emphasized the surgery required to ease the problem. He pointed out the dangers of a having the surgery bearing in mind my age (83) and my COPD.

We agreed that my case would be reviewed in one year time and he would recommend to my GP to increase my pain killers if the need should arise. I found him a very likeable person who was very pleasant to talk to and spend time with.

Our 6 yr old grandson, Hubert suffered a ruptured AVM and received emergency surgery by Mr Dan Brown, who undoubtedly saved his life.

During his subsequent 10 week stay in Addenbrookes, Mr Brown paid him frequent visits over and above his role as a neurosurgeon and gave reassurance to family members. Hubert then had a 8 week rehabilitation course at Tadworth in Surrey and he has made nothing short of a miraculous recovery.

He will be seeing Mr Brown for regular checkups for the foreseeable future. We can never fully express our profound gratitude to Dan Brown for his outstanding skills which resulted in returning Hubert to us when his life was very much in the balance.

On completion of a Lumbar Compression L4/L5 operation performed by Mr Dan Brown, Neurosurgeon, back in June 22, I have the upmost praise for this man and all members of his team at Addenbrooks hospital. The consultation which I had prior to my operation was explained in full detail in a way I totally understood completely.

The operation was a complete sucess, so much so I was surprised that I didn’t need any painkillers. Mr Dan came to visit me the following morning, so matter of fact with his explanation to discuss how the op had gone. He was very reassuring in his assessment.

I feel he has given me a second chance in life to which I am truly grateful. Mr Dan Brown in my opinion is a top surgeon in his field and a top man. My expectations have been exceeded because of my surgery. I will always be indebted to Mr Dan. From consultation through to surgery and after care, I found this to be a first class service with no improvements necessary. Thanks!!
