Sciatica is a nerve type pain that is experienced down the back of the leg or less commonly, down the front of the leg. Sciatica can be caused by pinching of the spinal nerves by a protruding spinal disc or general wear and tear changes.

Depending on the cause, thankfully in most cases sciatica is self-limiting.  

An MRI scan may be needed depending on your clinical history and clinical examination findings
