I am an experienced Neurosurgeon who offers a wide range of specialist procedures and opinions for patients with conditions affecting the brain and spine. My sub-specialist interests within Neurosurgery include neurovascular problems (brain aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and cavernomas), assessment and treatment of degenerative spinal conditions (including myelopathy and sciatica) and Chiari malformation.
I underwent extensive training on the National Training Program for Neurosurgery in Yorkshire prior to completing two sub-specialist fellowships including a prestigious and highly competitive Royal College of Surgeons of England Neurovascular fellowship .
I work alongside a highly skilled team to deliver the best possible management of each individual patient, from their initial referral and throughout their treatment and aftercare.
In addition to my clinical work, I enjoy providing teaching and training to both undergraduate medical students from the University of Cambridge and to post graduate doctors in training.
I am a published author in my field with papers on Neurovascular and spinal topics and serve as a reviewer for The British Journal of Neurosurgery.
I am an active member of the British Association of Spinal Surgeons, The Society of British Neurological Surgeons, The British Neurovascular Group and the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
