Cavernoma

Cavernoma are clusters of blood vessel like holes that can be found in the brain or less commonly in the spinal cord. They are often described mulberry or raspberry like however, in reality, when operated on they often have a capsule.

Cavernoma can cause symptoms through bleeding or irritation of the surrounding brain (seizures/fits)

Thankfully, the likelihood of a cavernoma bleeding and causing a major problem is very low.

Depending on your clinical situation you may need follow scans arranging and this would be determined during your clinic appointment.
